Web3 is a tough industry to stay in long term but year in year out we show up and put on one of the biggest Web3 conferences in the UK, Zebu Live! This year was no different as Zebu Live 2024 wrapped up this October there was a sense of pride throughout the Flight3 family as we gave a tough few years a grand farewell.

The latest edition taught us one thing above all else, Web3 and Crypto is not slowing down, it’s here to stay.

Every year, we bring in big names, but 2024 truly took the metaverse cake. Raoul Pal, the powerhouse from Real Vision, brought his trademark insights on macro trends, DeFi, and the future of digital assets, capturing the audience’s attention right from the get-go.

Then there was Dan Held, diving into the evolution of Bitcoin, dissecting its value, and sharing his forecast for the next bull run and where DeFi on Bitcoin will fit into the next 5 years. And, of course, we had Robby Young discussing metaverse potentials and everything happening at the cutting edge of digital spaces.

We had industry trailblazers like Garry Krugljakow and Sofia Polyakova giving us glimpses of an on-chain future where our wardrobes may one day exist in digital form.

‍

Meanwhile, Ben Putley from Alkimi broke down the transformative potential of transparency in Web3 advertising, highlighting why decentralised platforms might finally put Web2 giants to shame.
‍

But the real magic was in making those long-lasting connections that bring Web3 natives closer together. Whether it was over a coffee in the morning or pints in the evening, the Zebu Live community truly came alive.

Where else could you find NFT artists rubbing elbows with finance veterans, or blockchain developers deep in conversation with VC investors or Conservationists?

Zebu Live is the annual melting pot where the pioneers of Web3 don’t just network, they collaborate, debate, and build for a better tomorrow.

This year’s Zebu Live tackled everything Web3 with a fresh twist. Our panels and presentations were a deep dive into the topics that matter. There were sessions on the evolution of stablecoins, specifically the wild new trends in pegging that had everyone speculating.

We explored real-world applications of DeFi in financial inclusion, revealing use cases that go beyond hype to actual impact. And then, of course, the metaverse debates were electric: can digital spaces really shape the future, or is it just a (very entertaining) rabbit hole?

One of the most unforgettable talks was about Ai’s role in crypto. It’s clear that Ai is reshaping Web3 as we know it, and hearing experts debate its potential (and limitations) was a highlight.

From ethical considerations to practical applications in DeFi and NFTs, the insights offered a rare look into the future of Ai-powered blockchain projects.

Something that Ai hasn’t touched yet was our organic wholesome Telegram groups. They were buzzing with attendees coordinating meetups, sharing insights, and setting up collaborative projects in real time.

This year’s crowd wasn’t just here to watch Web3 unfold, they were here to build it. And part of building is stepping back and having a good laugh with “frens”.

So it wouldn’t be a event without a little comedy and that is what we brought in spades with the Zebu Live Comedy Roast. Ashton Barger and his crew had everyone in stitches, reminding us all that while we’re part of an industry looking to change the world, it’s okay to have a laugh along the way.

As we close the curtain on this year's Zebu Live things do feel noticeably different. Zebu is starting to take on a life of its own and now has a gravity that is attracting bigger and bigger names in the Wev3 space. Zebu Live has evolved from an event into a movement and every year, we bring new ideas to the table, and every year, the stakes feel higher.

But as you know by now Flight3 never shies away from a challenge, we’ve been through Bears and Bulls and we grow stronger with every cycle, much like Zebu gets bigger and better each year.
